Procedure To Renew Bahrain Driving Licence

Driving licence is a handy document in Bahrain, especially if you if your purpose to drive is work and travel. Like other documents, the driving licence of Bahrain also needs to be renewed. It is crucial to drive a vehicle with a valid driving licence otherwise heavy penalties can be incurred. Expatriates know how strict the laws are for driving a car in Bahrain. The process of renewal of the driving licence of Bahrain is handled by the General Directorate of Traffic. The renewal of the driving licence can be done by the people of age 18-60. The cost of renewal is BHD 10 and it might change in future. There are two ways from which you can renew the driving licence in Bahrain. Here is the step by step guide to renewing the driving licence in Bahrain. 

Documents Required

  • Permit Form
  • Driving Licence
  • Identity Card

General Directorate of Traffic Office

  • Go to the Office of General Directorate of Traffic During Working Hours.
  • Submit the Documents Required. 
  • Submit Information of Verification.
  • Pay The Fees

Post Office

  • Go to the Post Office Nearest to You.
  • Submit the Documents Required.
  • Submit Information of Verification.
  • Pay The Fees

Note: You will have to collect the new driving licence from the respective offices – General Directorate of Traffic or Post Office. If you don’t want to go and collect you can have it by post by paying the post fee. All the fines should be cleared.
