Procedure of FAHAS in Saudi Arabia (MVPI)
You must visit your nearest Motor Vehicle Periodic Inspection (MVPI) center to perform FAHAS. Go to the cash counter and present your Iqama, Istimara and make the payment. After the payment is done you can go to the inspection shed. You will need to come out of the vehicle and give the slip to the vehicle inspector at the inspection shed. You have to leave the shed and go on foot to the area dedicated to pedestrian passing. The car will pass through 4 inspection points. The duration will hardly take 10 minutes. After all the inspections are over you will be given a paper specifying if the test is clear or not. If in case there is any problem you will have to fix the issue in two weeks and come back to perform FAHAS again. If some minor problem is there, such as some bulb being fused or if there is some problem with the brake, then just outside the FAHAS facility there will be many mechanics available to fix the issue.
