Dubai Digital Nol Card – UAE

Digital Nol cards have been launched by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in collaboration with Huawei which is the first digital transport ticketing card of its kind in the region. The UAE government has taken this step as part of its Fourth Industrial Revolution strategy towards digitalizing the economy of UAE. The purpose of the RTA is to provide its customers’ flexibility to purchase tickets on public transport. The public transport system includes the Dubai Metro to the Dubai Tram, water taxis, buses, and more. The Huawei AppGallery has both the digital Nol card and Nol Pay mobile application which represent a step towards Dubai’s digitalization.

How Will The New Digital Nol Card Work?

The Digital Nol cards are currently available only on Huawei smartphones. The GCC’s first digital Nol card and the Nol Pay mobile app can be downloaded by the users via the Huawei App Gallery. You can create your ID after the installation of the app. Once registered, you can start using the card. The payment for public transport can be done through Huawei Wallet And you can also recharge the digital Nol card directly through the app. 

Which Services Can I Pay For?

All the public transport that accepts the Nol Card. You can use it for purchasing tickets for the Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, Dubai Water Bus, etc.  

Is The App Safe?

You can confidently use the app without worry as this is a semi-government venture. The payments made by customers through the app are ensured to be safe by the Huawei AppGallery’s full-cycle security and protection system. Testings have been conducted to ensure privacy. The Nol Pay app can be used to recharge the digital Nol cards.
