The Saudi Traffic Department (Moroor) replied on their Twitter account that in case of loss of the vehicle’s number plate outside the kingdom, a report should be lodged with the Criminal Records Agency.
Fine For The Replacement Of Number Plate
Payment must be done for the issuance of a replacement number plate for the vehicle. The application must be submitted by contacting the Saudi Traffic Department (Moroor) for the issuance of the replaced number plate.
Can You Drive Without Number Plate?
The Saudi Traffic Department (Moroor) stated the Section 4 of the traffic law prohibits any person from driving without a number plate in response to the question.
Instalment Of Number Plates According To The Law
As per the law, the number plates must be installed on the front and the back/rear of every vehicle. The number plate for the vehicle must be installed in a prominent place. The Saudi Traffic Department (Moroor) must be contacted at the earliest if someone’s number plate is lost. If a vehicle’s number plate gets lost while traveling outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia these procedures must be followed. A report must be lodged and a fine must be paid to issue a replacement number plate.
