Al-Dawaa Pharmacy as the first community pharmacy to make available coronavirus vaccination service through its branches across the Kingdom has been approved by the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Al-Dawaa Pharmacies signed a partnership agreement on Wednesday to provide coronavirus vaccines throughout all the branches. The date will be announced soon when the vaccine will be available for the citizens and expatriates.
Ministry of Health and Al-Dawaa Pharmacies’ partnership comes with a strategic plan approved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to gain full control of the pandemic. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is desirous to provide and facilitate all means to offer the best services and ensure the safety of people under the plan. Al-Dawaa Pharmacies and the Ministry of Health’s basis of the corporation is to enhance the health of citizens and residents and also to highlight the importance of the role of the private sector in general. The statement given by the official included the role of Al-Dawaa Pharmacies to contribute to providing its best interests in the health of the public.
Al Arabiya TV reported that the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said that the vaccination for the coronavirus in the Kindom of Saudi Arabia will be provided free of cost. This step was taken as a ministry’s effort to expand the national vaccination campaign in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was also announced by the minister that the vaccination for the coronavirus would be a pre-requisite for the applicants wishing to participate in the annual pilgrimage of Hajj. A committee for vaccination will be formed for the Hajj and Umrah.
